Spring Bucket List 2024

Spring has arrived in all its glory! Here are some of the things that I hope to accomplish and enjoy throughout the season of Spring 2024...



"For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations."
(Isaiah 61:11)

- Write my spring bucket list
- Plan my spring menus (these will be posted each week in my 'Master To-Do and Menu Plan Monday' posts)
- Celebrate Palm Sunday
- Celebrate Purim
- Get together with the aunts
- Renew my conceal and carry permit
- Celebrate Resurrection Sunday
- Taste a morel mushroom
- Observe the solar eclipse
- Celebrate spring birthdays with the children and grands
- Gather a bouquet of ox-eye daisies
- Assist with and attend a baby shower for daughter, Amber
- Plant a garden and watch it grow
- Observe Indian paintbrush blooming on the prairie
- Enjoy a rainy day
- Present spring nature programs at work and at the local library
- Observe sweet williams growing along the banks of a country creek
- Go for a walk in the woods
- Pick up bedding and vegetable plants at the Amish Greenhouse
- Present a nature program at the Golden City, Missouri public library
- Attend Spring Training @ Roaring RIver State Park
- Cook burgers on the grill
- Attend a 'Little House' meet and greet
- Renew tags on van
- Deep clean the kitchen
- Plant zinnias
- Smell lilacs
- See a brand new baby bison
- Observe a bird's nest with eggs in it
- Clean out and organize the garage
- Pay closer attention to labels and start eliminating health and beauty products that contain sls

  2. That is a great list! Babies are a gift & a blessing! I love zinnias, all mine from a couple of years ago cross polinated, and ended
    up all orange and pink! I hope to have some this year that do not do that. I'd think an Amish greenhouse would be a very special place to visit. The photos I've seen of their homes and gardens are amazing.

    1. Thanks, Ann! I love zinnias, too! No matter what color they turn out to be, they're one of my favorites, and I love the fact that they bloom up until frost! Yes, the Amish greenhouse is a very special place to visit and there are several in our area. There are greenhouses, bakeries, bulk food stores, and more. I had the privilege once to be invited into one of their homes and cook with them...egg noodles and angel food cakes. It was an amazing experience! Have a wonderful spring!

  3. Always enjoy reading your bucket lists. I was super excited to see the sweet Williams I planted in our backyard last year, returned, and are now blooming. Hope you get to see some, they are my favorite flowers of early spring. Spring flowers, getting the porch ready, always on my list :)

    1. Thanks, Jean! That's awesome that your sweet williams bloomed this year! They're so pretty! And, yes! I did get to see some! There were a lot of them blooming along the creek banks out in the country. Have a lovely spring!
