Master To-Do List and Menu Plan Monday - August 8, 2022

It's been a busy day and I'm just now getting a chance to sit down and work on today's post. How was your week and weekend? My week and weekend here were great!

I worked the Missouri State Park booth at the Ozark Empire Fair in Springfield on Tuesday and at the park on Saturday.

Our family celebrated several birthdays this past week and an anniversary...Patrick and Amber's 20th. It's hard to believe how fast time flies! It doesn't even seem possible.

Thank you to everyone who has been praying over Buddy and Christy. Bud had his last infusion Thursday and they removed the port. He's still having a few issues, but, overall, he's doing well and is released to go back to work on Wednesday.

I took advantage of Missouri's 'tax-free weekend' by shopping for a variety of school supplies for myself and the grands on Friday. For myself, I loaded up on spiral-bound notebooks, pens, and highlighters. I go through tons of them each year and this is the perfect time to stock up at the lowest price possible.

Christy went into labor Friday night; early Saturday morning, Miss Bethany Annabelle Grace came into the world and joined our family.

She weighed 9 lbs. 6 ozs. and is 21-inches long. I am very thankful that she and her mama are both doing well.

Bethany and I Sunday Afternoon

Buddy and Christy brought the baby home from the hospital Sunday afternoon, and I was able to go over after lunch to meet her for the very first time. She's so beautiful! I wish John was here. He'd be so proud!

Well, the day is nearly gone. I better get on with this post before the clock strikes midnight and the calendar page turns to Tuesday! Let's get started, shall we?

  1. Happy Birthday week! Hope the Royals give you a win. Wonder what is eating those sunflower petals? It's still pretty though, none of my sunflowers bloomed--I have the worst luck with them for some reason. Have a wonderful week!

    1. Thanks, Jean!!! Much to our delight, the game ended up being a double-header! The Royals won the first game 4-2; the White Sox won the second 3-2. I'm not sure what's eating the petals. I have a lot of grasshoppers eating my daylilies, and I thought it might be there, but I've not seen a single grasshopper around the sunflowers, so I don't know. I hope you're having a wonderful week, too! Thanks for the birthday wishes!
