Master To-Do List and Menu Plan Monday - June 13, 2022

Good Monday morning! I hope that you and yours had a great week and weekend! Here it's been an absolute whirlwind!

The early part of the week was spent running errands and working around the place.

On Monday I got the car inspected and licensed and went grocery shopping. On Tuesday I picked cherries and put up a batch of jelly.

The big event of the week happened mid-week. Our newest granddaughter, Miss Kelly Margaret Anne, was born Wednesday evening. She weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces and was 19 3/4 inches long.

Oh, how I wish her papa was here to welcome her! She is so beautiful and he would be so proud!

Nicole and Kelly are both doing well. In fact, labor only lasted two hours and both mother and baby were released from the hospital in less than 18 hours after birth. Crazy!!! But so very thankful!

The rest of the week was focused on work.

Thursday morning I had a blast leading an intelligent and incredibly fun group of homeschooled high school girls on a wildflower hike out on the prairie.

Friday night I participated in a frog and toad survey. It was the first time I had had the opportunity and I greatly enjoyed it.

Note - This photo was NOT taken on
the night of the frog and toad survey.

On Saturday I attended and helped host our first 'Women in Nature' program at the park. Naturalist Cyndi Cogbill led a nature hike...

...and I taught a class session on nature journaling.

By Saturday afternoon we were under a heat advisory. High temperatures Saturday and Sunday were in the mid-90's with heat indices in the triple digits. The pattern threatens to continue throughout the next week and a half at least. (Welp! There goes the electric bill!) 😰

Now, it's Monday and I'm off and running into a brand-new week. Let's take a look at what's ahead, shall we?

This week's master to-do list...

- clean house
- do laundry
- it was too wet last week to get into the garden. I'm hoping, that with the warmer temperatures, things will dry out and I can get out there and get some stuff done. I still need to get the mulch, lay the landscaping fabric, and put the border fence up along the north edge of the garden.
- harvest the rest of the cherries
- put up another batch of jelly
- return a package to Amazon
- mail a baby gift to a friend
- get together with Carla
- celebrate Christy's birthday
- take a peak at this week's full moon
- figure the mid-month budget
- go to the bank
- shop for fresh foods
- teach a friend how to make spaghetti sauce from scratch
- work
- participate in a local food project

  1. Congrats on your new granddaughter! She's beautiful. Hope it doesn't get too hot for you, so far this morning the humidity is worse than the actual heat. Hope you have a wonderful week!
