It's the last day of January and the first day of a brand new work week. How was your weekend?
My weekend was good here. There wasn't a whole lot going on really. I cleaned house and did laundry on Saturday, had church Sunday morning, and just hung around the rest of weekend piddling around with first one thing, then another.
I spent some time trying out the new camera over the weekend, but didn't get very many good shots. To be honest, I didn't find too many things to get shots of. I'm hoping this week will be better. We're supposed to have a big snowstorm mid-week. Perhaps I'll be fortunate enough to find some more snowy-backed bison. We'll see!
Let's get right on into this week's post, shall we?
This week's master to-do list...
- work
- clean house
- do laundry
- wash bedding, doilies, and tablecloths
- wash shower curtain
- figure February budget and bills
- go to the bank and post office (pay bills)
- continue cleaning, sorting, and organizing the livingroom and sunroom
- continue to work with new camera
- enjoy the snowstorm (if we actually get it)
- wish son-in-law, Aaron, a Happy Birthday
This week's menu plan...
Monday - Chicken ranch salad with homemade French bread
Tuesday - Black bean and cheese tostadas with salad
Wednesday - Broiled salmon, baked sweet potato with sautéed spinach and garlic and a side-salad
Thursday - Wintery Day Bean Soup with Ezekiel bread and a side-salad
Friday - Oven-roasted chicken breast with butter and garlic pasta, peas, and homemade French bread
Saturday - Homemade pizza with a side-salad
Sunday - Leftovers
That's it for this week! Have a nice Monday and a great week ahead!
Until next time...
Rebecca
Hope your week has gone well and that the storm wasn't too bad for you. Did you get a lot of snow? I think we got around 4-5 inches, looks like maybe another light dusting overnight. Can't believe how many blackbirds are in that photo, amazing!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Jean! Yes, my week has gone well and, no, the storm wasn't bad. We've got a lot of snow, yes...close to a foot of snow, I think, and a lot of drifting. My biggest problem here is trying to be patient. I'm chomping at the bit to get out to park to see if I can find the bison, but I there's a stretch of road that I'm sue is drifted shut. I can't wait until the snowplows get out and get to the gravel roads. It might be a while. And, yes, that is the most blackbirds I've ever seen at one time. It was amazing! Blessings for a great day and enjoy the snow! Spring it on it's way! <3
