Hello and good morning!
What a lovely Friday morning it is, too, here in southwest Missouri! 50 degrees and all sunshiny! We've had a lot of clouds lately, so this sunshine is heavenly! 🌞
My friend, Carla, and I went to Aldi's Thursday afternoon to check on holiday food prices and availability. At this point, there were a few really-low or nearly-empty shelves (canned goods and freezer section especially), but, overall, things appeared fairly normal.
Eggs were $1.48 per dozen. I think I paid 69 cents a dozen the last time I purchased them at Aldi's.
I also purchased Stove Top stuffing ($1.68 per box), instant potatoes ($1.25 per box), organic chicken broth (1.79 per box), canned pumpkin (95 cents per can), evaporated milk (69 cents per can), and butter ($2.89 per pound). Not bad considering what's going on in other parts of the nation.
Please be in prayer for Connie Hultquist and her family. She is suffering from Parkinson's disease and has been moved to hospice. I don't know Mrs. Hultquist, personally, but I did have the honor of reading, reviewing, and giving away a copy of her book Dear Christmas Mothers back in November of 2018. How about a free printable cookbook from the folks over at Living on a Dime? To download and print click HERE. (I printed mine off last night!)
Just for fun...how about a cheetah cub cam from the National Zoo? I've sure been enjoying this one! To view click HERE.
I hope you and yours have had a great week. Do you have any special plans for the weekend?
Tomorrow is National Bison Day, so I will be working. I know they have two bison hikes scheduled and I don't know what else, but it should be fun.
Have a great weekend and I'll see you again soon!
Until then...
~Rebecca

Here in the NYC suburbs, I haven't seen much shortage at all - except for Gatorade, which won't affect my Thanksgiving shopping, lol.
ReplyDeleteAhahahahaha! Now I thought EVERYONE served Gatorade as their drink of choice on Thanksgiving! LOL! (Just kidding!) Seriously, I did hear that some drinks are in short supply. Gatorade must be one of them! Thanks for dropping in and commenting! Appreciate it!
