Happy Birthday Harold Bell Wright

The Shepherd of the Hills by Harold Bell Wright is one of my favorite books.


Today is Mr. Wright's birthday! He was born one-hundred and fourty-nine years ago today on May 4, 1872.  


Harold Bell Wright made the Missouri Ozarks famous and he has touched my husband's and I's lives in multiple ways through his writing.

    When I was younger, we went to Branson, MO and saw the outdoor play Shepherd of the Hills. A wonderful experience

      I've been to the play three times and, yes, you're right...it IS a wonderful experience...and one that I would recommend to anyone!
