Happy Homemaker Monday - May 13, 2019

Good morning, Dear Ones! Happy Monday! πŸ’—

I wish each and every one of you beautiful moms out there a belated Happy Mother's Day! I hope you had a great one! πŸŒ·πŸŒΉπŸŒΈπŸ’“

Mother's Day Flowers
I had a wonderful Mother's Day! I heard from all six of my children and received tokens of love and appreciation from all...messages, phone calls, meal dates, flowers, flowers, and more flowers, cards, cheesecake, and a lovely purple case for my brand new cell phone! (Yes! I've stepped up in the world! I finally got a smart phone! Wow! I never thought that THAT would happen!) 😲

More Mother's Day Flowers
And More Mother's Day Flowers
This past week has been crazy and the one ahead and beyond promises to be even more so. I worked Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (school groups, scout groups, Monarch Magic homeschool program, and preparation for off-site programs this week). Tuesday and Wednesday were spent spinning my wheels trying to get things done around here that needed to be done, but to no avail.

Children Gather To Plant Pollinator-Friendly Plants To Take Home
A Kaleidoscope of Coffee-Filter Monarch Butterflies
Tuesday night a chunk of our neighbor's (Pat'sbig ol' pecan tree fell out and it is splayed from her house to the edge of the road. I heard it when it fell and it JUST missed...and I mean JUST BARELY missed...hitting her house! Had it of, she would be out of a home right now. We are so thankful for God's magnificent protection! There had to be angels right there to lay that baby down where it is! We've got friends coming this weekend to clean it up and take the wood. They heat their home with wood in the winter and this will have all summer to season. Again, we are very thankful! 🌳

Wednesday I took Pat to her hair appointment and out for lunch and, beyond that, didn't accomplish much more.

In the midst of it all, our dear friend, Joe, has been hanging in the balances (cancer) and we have been spending as much time as we can with him and his wife. Please remember Joe and his family in your prayers. Thank you!

Okay...enough about last week! Let's get right on into this week's post! Shall we? And, please, join me as, I link up with Sandra of Diary of a Stay At Home Mom and all the other lovely ladies that make up the Happy Homemaker Monday crew. You'll be glad you did! πŸ’—

Today I am joining Sandra and the other ladies over at
Diary of a Stay At Home Mom for Happy Homemaker Monday.
Please be sure to go over and check it out! πŸ’—
Right now I am...

... finishing up breakfast and enjoying a cup of hot tea while I work on this post. I'm also enjoying watching the birds at the feeders and in the front yard. Thus far this morning I've observed robins, cardinals, tufted titmice, house finches, hummingbirds, a downy woodpecker, and a bluejay.

We also had a blacksnake on the back porch. I grabbed a pair of gloves, caught him, and released him out towards the back. Wish I would have remembered to take a picture! 🐍

Am thinking...

... about all the things coming up this week (two school groups, three off-site programs, and preparing to go to spring training...which reminds me...there probably won't be a HHM post next week...hmmmm...unless...if I can find the time I might try scheduling something...we'll see...just thinking out loud here) πŸ€”

On the breakfast plate...

... This morning I had peanut butter and Polaner All-Fruit (blueberry) on toast.

The weather...

Absolutely gorgeous at the moment...59 degrees and sunny! And the week ahead really doesn't look bad at all! πŸŒž

    1. We do and I'm amazed at how many are visiting our feeders right now! Snakes aren't my favorite, but, as long as they aren't venomous, I try to give them a break. They're just trying to survive like everyone else. :) You have a great week, too, Lucy, and thanks for stopping in! <3

So glad your friend was okay with the tree incident and so true how wonderful God can be even in those scary circumstances. And prayers for your friend Joe. May you all be finding strength in God's promises for the world beyond this one and that Joe find peace and strength in those thoughts too. As well as the love you all share πŸ™
