Happy Homemaker Monday - March 4, 2019

Greetings, Dear Friends! Happy Monday! 💗

Can you believe it? The first Monday of March and the month that officially brings us spring! (I'm so excited!) 🍀

I trust that you and yours had a good week and a nice weekend. We spent the first half of the week in Kansas City with our daughter and son-in-law and the second half of the week doing what needs to be done here (home stuff, work, etc.).

Over the weekend we got snow. Sunday afternoon my husband and I drove out to the park and observed this...

I've got much to do today, so I'm going to cut this short. Please join me as I link up with Sandra of Diary of a Stay At Home Mom and all the other lovely ladies that make up the Happy Homemaker Monday crew.

Today I am joining Sandra and the other ladies over at
Diary of a Stay At Home Mom for Happy Homemaker Monday.
Please be sure to go over and check it out! 💗

Right now I am...

... finishing up breakfast and enjoying a cup of tea while I finish this post. I'm also watching the birds as they flutter and flit at the feeders outside my office window.

Am thinking...

... about and praying over our daughter and son-in-law. Will be heading back up there over the weekend to be with them. Please continue to remember Phillip and Amanda in your prayers. There have been a few setbacks and Phillip is still awaiting the big surgery. 😢

On the breakfast plate...

... a big breakfast for a busy day...French toast with sugar-free syrup, turkey breakfast sausage, Triple Zero vanilla yogurt, Mandarin orange slices, and a steaming cup of hot tea.

The weather...

... cold! We are under a windchill advisory until 10 a.m. tomorrow morning. The current temperature is 8 degrees with a windchill of -5. Today's high is supposed to be around 20. The next couple of days promise to be super cold, but, after that, highs in the 40's and 50's with lows in the 20's and 30's. I'll just be glad when spring arrives and decides to stick around! 🌷🐇🍀🐑💗

On my reading pile...

Am still reading The Great Buffalo Hunt by Wayne Gard (at work) and Song of the Shenandoah by Mark Strength.

In the craft basket...

Am concentrating on the temperature afghan, but am only through the 23rd of January. If my yarn arrives in time, I can take it with me on my next trip to KC and really make some progress on it.

Jodi, this is for you...

Well, Ladies, that's it for this week! I pray that each and every one of you have a blessed and beautiful New Year, and I'll see you next week! Blessings!

Until next time,

  4. See you saw a few deer as well. Enjoyed the music, I do love our city lights but I'm a bit biased ;) Looked at the article I sent you last night and I think it might be based on Word press blogs. Is there a Blogger help board where you might find anti-spam suggestions? Just throwing another idea out there. I know how frustrating it can be, even with my plugin, sometimes the spam slips into the comments. Hope you have a wonderful & warmer (it's up to 13 here!) week!

  5. Thank, Ladies! Appreciate you all leaving comments. I had to end up putting my settings back to where anyone can post...even anonymous spammers...so...oh well! I do love and appreciate when my readers leave comments!

Thanks, TAMY! I hope you're having a wonderful week, too! <3

Thanks, JODI! I hadn't noticed it before, but, when my husband saw the pic, he commented on how Van Gogh-y the colors are. Guess it was all subconscious! And, yes, I can't wait to get into more of the color, too! Soon, my friend! Very soon! :)

Thanks, SANDY! The temperature afghan was not my idea, so steal away! LOL! I stole the idea from my youngest daughter and a blogging friend! :) Prayers over our daughter and son-in-law are much appreciated. Thank you! <3

Thanks, JEAN! Yes, deer seem to be in abundance right now. Every photographer I know is posting pictures of them. LOL! I will check the BLOGGER help page and see if I can find any information. I do appreciate your help and suggestions. And, yes, definitely warming up and I'm so glad! Will be back in the city over the weekend and early part of the week and, at this point, it doesn't look like we have to be concerned about super cold temps or winter weather being a problem. I'm so thankful! Have a great rest of the week! Blessings, my friend! <3

  6. Hi Dear Lady ;)

Sending continued prayers for your daughter and your SIL. Please keep us posted! And love your pics - the afghan is turning out great!! And the deer photo is so cool too.

Hope it warms back up for you. I'm dreaming of Spring daily. ::sigh:: HOpefully not too long before our snow piles start melting. Have a blessed week xoxo

  7. Thanks, Carrie! Doctors aren't quite sure what's going on exactly, but today has been extremely rough. Your continued thoughts and prayers over our daughter and son-in-law are greatly appreciated!

I hope my yarn arrives before we head back to the city. I really want to take the afghan with me to work on when spending time at the hospital.

And, yes, I dream of spring daily, too. This weekend temperatures are supposed to climb into the mid-60's! I hope it really happens.

Sending warm thoughts your way! Blessings, Sweet Friend! <3
