Today I am thankful for our grandchildren There are 18 of them and they range in age from newborn to 20. Each and every one of them is special and unique in temperament, talents, goals, dreams, and personality.
On birthdays I try to spend special one-on-one time with each grandchild by taking them out to lunch and ice cream. On these outings we chat about what's going on their lives (what they're learning in school, favorite activities, likes, dislikes, etc.) and it amazes me how much they grow, change, and mature in their thinking from year to year. It's such a special time for both of us and one that we talk about and look forward to the whole year through.
