30 Days of Thanksgiving - Day 13 - A Warm Home
Our Kitchen
As bitter cold settles into southwest Missouri, I am thankful for a warm home. Our house isn't big. It isn't fancy. In fact, by the world's standards, it isn't much of anything at all, but...it's ours. It's warm. It's paid for. In fact, my daddy built this home with his own two hands and it's got features that most houses today don't have, like alternative energy sources (solar lighting, a solar heater, and a wind generator, should we choose to use them) and a small greenhouse and solar porch built on the back. All of these add to energy efficiency, which is a HUGE blessing!
Our Bedroom
At this time of year, when so many people are out on the streets, or are struggling to make ends meet, I am especially thankful for the house we have...for a place to call our own... and for the love that went into (and continues to go into) making it a home! Until next time, ~Rebecca
