Good morning and Happy MONDAY! 💗
Our week was good. I had to be out at the park most days. Served a pulled bison dinner to the Americorps workers their last night in (they put in a ten-day stint at the park this time...that was on Tuesday evening), had a school group on Wednesday, a Prairie Jubilee planning meeting on Thursday, worked half a day on Friday (attended a friend's funeral in the afternoon), and conducted my 'Let's "Stick" Together' program (all about fun with plain ol' ordinary sticks) on Saturday. Other than that, just worked around the place and celebrated a quiet Father's Day with my husband.

Today I'm joining Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom and all of the wonderful ladies of Happy Homemaker Monday! |
I got up early this morning and started doing laundry and cleaning right away, so, right now, I'm taking a breakfast break and enjoying a cup of tea as I start this post.
Am thinking...
That, if I have time, I should consider cleaning the livingroom carpet this afternoon. It really needs it. 😞
On the breakfast plate...
Boring I know, but I had my here-as-of-late regular...THM Sweat Pant Oatmeal and a cup of Twining's Irish Breakfast tea. I can't help it! Most mornings I'm craving oatmeal and that is my absolute favorite way to make it.

Still very hot and VERY humid. In fact, we've been under a heat advisory for several days now, but there's supposed to be a 10 to 15 degree temperature drop coming mid-week with some really good rain chances...which we need desperately. Am looking forward to that and just hope that it comes through.

This is one of the grapevine wreaths I've made. I made it last night and hung up to dry overnight. |
Looking forward to this week...
Kicking off Jean (over at So Not Organized) and I's 30 Days of Summer blog series. To find out more check out this post on Jean's site and this one on mine. Jean and I hope you'll join us in our summertime adventure! 🌞
Something interesting I watched...
Over the weekend, compliments of a friend, my husband and I watched Gotti: Godfather & Son. There was a day when my husband looked up to John Gotti and a, much later, day that he tried to minister to him when he was in the federal penitentiary at Springfield, Missouri. The documentary was both good and sad. We pray better things for his children and grandchildren.
Nothing that anyone else would be interested in, I'm sure. Most of my surfing this week involved looking for information on hiking trails in northern Minnesota. 😆
From the camera...
My purple-headed coneflowers are in full bloom and the pollinators are going crazy around them! We've seen a good variety of bees, beetles, and butterflies all over them the past few days. So pretty! |

Until Next Time...

DeleteLooking forward to our summer series as well. The heat advisory certainly makes it a good time to dream of hiking somewhere a bit cooler. Your coneflowers are beautiful! I planted some just last year so their blooming but still in the puny stages of growth. Hope you have a great week! P.S. Someone at work said they're supposedly getting lots of rain in western Kansas, let's hope it's moving our way.
ReplyDeleteAh, yes, Jean! I didn't realize there were so many hiking trails around Ely and some of them are up the Echo Trail, which is one of my favorite places to be! Hope we get the rain. We could sure use it. If you need more coneflower seed let me know. I've got plenty to share. Talk to you soon! <3
