Today I'm joining Sandra at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom and all the sweet ladies of Happy Homemaking Monday! |
Another week (and another month) has fairly flown by and here we are in March! Can you believe it??? 🍀
The signs of a soon and coming spring are everywhere and I am anxious for its arrival. The days are warmer and getting longer (In fact, daylight's savings time goes into effect in less than a week! Don't forget to set those clocks forward come Saturday night! 🕙), robins are everywhere, the trees are budding, and some of those earliest of spring flowers are starting to bloom. I am so thankful that winter's grasp is loosening and that spring is ready to burst forth in all her glory! Yahoo! 🌷🐤🌸
Let's get started on this week's post...shall we?
Right now I am...
Finishing up my breakfast and enjoying a cup of hot tea while I work on this post. I am also listening to the music of the wind chimes that hang outside my window as the prairie winds blow strong this morning.
On the breakfast plate...
THM apple-cinnamon swirl muffins and a steaming cup of hot tea
The weather...
Right now it's overcast, very windy, and 56 degrees. There's a chance of scattered showers this morning, but the chance of rain will end by noon, and we should have sunshine by this afternoon. The high today is supposed to be around 60.
On my reading pile...
Monday - homemade turkey pepperoni and vegetable pizza and a mixed green salad
Tuesday - bison burgers, oven fries, and salad
Wednesday - stuffed peppers and salad
Thursday - taco stuffed baked potatoes with salad
Friday - grilled salmon, baked sweet potatoes, and brussel sprouts
Saturday - leftover pizza (freezer)
Sunday - leftovers
On my 'to do' list...
- Monday - Plan the week ahead, "weekly "home blessing", laundry, bedding
- Tuesday - Get together with my friend, Carla
- Wednesday - Wash curtains and coverings
- Thursday - Decorate for St. Patty's Day
- Friday - Work (Wild Dogs of the Prairie - Past and Present HS program),
- Saturday - Work, set the clocks forward before bedtime
- Sunday - Church
In the craft basket...
Nothing at this point
Getting together with my friend, Carla, getting started on spring cleaning, and digging out all my St. Patrick's Day decorations.

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping in and commenting, Jodi! I love the purple crocuses, too! Blessings! <3
DeleteSo jealous of your budding plants & trees. We still have tons of snow here and it'll be like that for another 2 months. Have a great week
ReplyDeleteI don't remember where you're from, but it must be north of us somewhere. I'll try to send a little warmth and sunshine your way. Have a blessed week ahead! <3
DeleteAre your bison burgers made of bison? A girl's gotta know! Your crocuses are gorgeous. Have a beautiful week :)
ReplyDeleteYes, Ma'am! It sure is! The state park that I work at has a bison herd and we auction off about 25 to 30 animals every October. One of my bosses buys a bison each fall and, generously, lets me buy however many pounds of meat that I want from him each year (within reason of course! LOL!). Anyway, yes, my bison burgers are made of bison meat. Have a beautiful and blessed week ahead! And thanks for dropping in. <3
DeleteSuch pretty purple crocuses! Isn't it nice to start seeing those spring flowers starting to pop up? We have tulips and lilies starting. Daylight Savings Time is starting a bit too early this year for my taste though. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jean! And, yes, it is! We didn't move our flowers over from the other house until just a few weeks before selling it, so I'm anxious to see what all will be coming up and where we planted it! LOL! Because I don't remember!!! I hear you on the Daylight Savings Time. If it were up to me, we wouldn't do it all. Have a beautiful and blessed week ahead! <3
DeleteHi Rebecca! I'm thinking all things Spring too and got out my Spring decor. I decided to go right to bunnies and things, but I have St. Patty's day stuff too. I'm thinking I may do a fun "St. Patrick's tea" with my Mom and daughter and Aunt and use those decorations to do the table. We'll do food with a green, gold and rainbow theme. ;) Hopefully I'll get it done - stay tuned. Lol xoxo
ReplyDeleteA St. Patrick's Day tea sounds wonderful, Carrie! My girls and I usually have tea the morning of our annual St. Patrick's Day family get-together...Irish Breakfast Tea, of course! And I love the idea of doing food in a green, gold, and rainbow theme! Very nice! Have a wonderful St. Patty's Day and be sure to post pictures! Blessings! <3
