Happy Homemaking Monday!

Good Morning, Sweet Ladies! Happy First Monday in February! ðŸ’—

Can you believe that January is over and that we're 1/12 of the way through another year already?!?!? Wow! 😲

How was your weekend? Ours was good here. I had to work Friday and Saturday; then, we had a quiet Sunday. I'm glad that it's Monday now because I'm chomping at the bit to get on with my day and get things done.

Let's get right to it, shall we? 😊

Right now I am...

I'm finishing up my breakfast and enjoying a steaming cup of hot tea while I work on this post.

On the breakfast plate...

THM pancakes with blueberries and Triple 0 vanilla yogurt and hot tea

The weather...

Right now it is very cold...8 degrees, but the sun is shining and it's supposed to get up to 43 degrees today. We'll see if it makes it. We've got snow on the ground right now (got about three-inches yesterday afternoon) and we're supposed to, maybe, get another three-inches tomorrow, along with the possibility of sleet and freezing rain, but, we'll see! After all...this IS Missouri and the forecast could change! ⛄⛈🌞

On my reading pile...

  2. That winter wildflower program sounds so fun. I'd be there in a second if it wasn't on the same Saturday my youngest is taking the ACT, don't think he'll be up for anything after that. My goal is to come visit your park at some point this year though :) Hope you have a wonderful week!

  4. Hello, Joanna! Yes, it is very beautiful here on the tall-grass prairie of southwest Missouri. I work as a naturalist at a state park. On Saturday I will be doing a program on winter wildflowers. One of the things that I have planned is to take the participants out on a short hike and scavenger hunt. While we're out, each participant will select from 3 to 5 winter wildflowers and place them in a brown paper bag. After we get back to the building I will give each participant a small lump of white, homemade play-dough and a pair of scissors. They will trim up and cut down the winter wildflowers that they selected and, poking them into the play-dough, will create a winter wildflower bouquet to take home with them. I will try to remember to post pictures next Monday. You have a great week, too! Blessings! <3

    1. It's not so bad. At least it doesn't get super cold and stay that way...at least most of the time, anyway. It gets cold, then warms up, then gets cold again. I just want spring to get here in all it's glory! It's something I'm really looking forward to this year! Have a blessed week! <3

    1. Thanks, Luludou! I DID enjoy my Friday off and, wonders of wonders, I'm getting another one off on the 23rd! One of my bosses will be on vacation and the other one has to be in Jefferson City on the 22nd and has asked me to switch my days again that week. Yahoo! At this rate, I'm going to get spoiled! LOL! Have a blessed week ahead! And Happy Valentine's Day! <3
