Five Minute Friday - a free write, which means, as our hostess, Kate Motaung, says, "...no editing, no over-thinking, no worrying about perfect grammar or punctuation. Just write."
This week's prompt is: STEADY.
Go!
The melodious song of a dickcissel perched in the highest branch of the tallest sumac...
The rustling sound that the grasses make as wind races, unseen, and unchecked, across the
tallgrass prairie landscape...
These are the sounds of summer in my little corner of the world.
Summer?
Summer already?
The first half of the year over? Over already? Seriously??? Where did it go?
Steady. Steady. The hands of clock keep turning and time moves on.
No time. No time. No time for anything anymore.
Steady. S-t-e-a-d-y.
Keep it straight. Time is what we make of it. It's time to slow down. Time to think about it.
Time to think about what's really important.
Stay steady and make time. Make time for what's important.
Stop!
Until next time...
~Rebecca
