A dear friend of ours and her daughter-in-law have always been so good about picking up little things here and there for our grandlittles on occasion and it's always so appreciated. Recently, when they were out and about they picked up this lovely little denim bear baby blanket. The only thing wrong with it is that it didn't have an edging. I edged it this afternoon and am going to give it to baby Jedidiah. Thought I'd share!

Morning Musings - 2/28/13
Good Morning, Sweet Ladies!
It seems that life is never going to be "normal" or "in" control again, so I've decided, "Why wait for it to happen?" I have a feeling that if I do, I'll never write again! I am what I am and I am where I am, so, why not just stop waiting for everything to fit into my little self-made boxes of perfection and go for it! So...here I am! :)
So many things have been going on in our lives that I wouldn't even know where to start in trying to catch everyone up, so I won't even try. I'll just start where I am and go from here. I do want to take a moment to thank everyone who has been kind enough to pray over our family, though, in days of late. There has so much illness...especially among our children, grandchildren, and even our own household. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone who has prayed over my Aunt Linda and send her cards and notes of encouragement. It has done her a world of good and, please, keep them coming...especially those prayers because your prayers have wrought miracles! Literally!
In other news, we had a new grandson born to us recently. Jedidiah Dale was born February 12, 2013. He was a big boy weighing in at 9 lbs. 3 oz. and was 21" long.
In other news we've had lots of snow recently and with the threat of drought in our area it has been very much welcome. Here's a little of what we've gotten lately...
Well, I'm out of time for today, so I'll visit with you again when I can. Have a blessed day and stay the course in all His ways!
All My Love,
~Rebecca

Blessings and Cursings
It's been a long time since I've been here, I know. There's been way too much stuff going on...computer failure, getting and familiarizing myself with a new one, deaths, illnesses, and the list goes on and on. But I had to write this morning.
I have witnessed so many things over the past few days that, not only makes me crazy, but they make me sad. All too often we are wronged by people, then turn right around and do and say things that make us just as wrong as the one that wronged us. (And, believe me, I've done it myself and it makes me so ashamed!)
Like it or not every single thing we do is spiritual and, in choosing the way we do things, we choose to either glorify God or we choose to glorify the enemy. The Bible is clear about where attacks against our person and character comes from. It's not from people. It's from the spirits behind them.
Ephesians 6:12 tells us, "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
When these attacks come through others who have lent themselves, knowingly or unknowingly, to be the devil's advocate or mouthpiece, Jesus reminds us in Matthew 5:44 that we are to love them anyway. He says, "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you."
When we do this we glorify God and, at the same time, we get out of His way, so that He can deal with the problem at hand...and He WILL deal with the problem at hand...in His own way (and remember...His ways are not our ways) and in His own time. The sooner we get out of His way the sooner He can deal with it and, believe me, He can do a much better job of it than we can, because He knows how to get people from the inside. :)
