It's time for another 'Five Minute Friday'. 'Five Minute Friday' is where as, our hostess, and inspiration, The Gypsy Mama, puts it, we write "For only five short, bold, beautiful minutes. Unscripted and unedited. We just write without worrying if it’s just right or not."
Want to join us? Then be sure and visit The Gypsy Mama today!
Now...for today's assignment...
Go!
Tired? It seems that everyone I talk to lately is tired...tired physically, spiritually, and emotionally. I can't help but believe that we are experiencing some of that 'wearing out of the saints' talked about in Daniel.
You see, we have an enemy out there and he's very real. He wants to see our homes, our families, and our peace destroyed. But, stand firm! Seek the Lord and stay in the truth of His Word! It is the only weapon that we have to combat the evil of our day and it's the only "answer" to any one of life's problems.
I would like to encourage all of us today...especially as we go into this beautiful Christmas season...to put on the brakes of our busy lives and get down and get real with the Lord. It seems that everyone I've talked to lately has slipped somehow. They've become soft. They're either too busy...too overburdened...too tired...too something...to keep on keepin' on when things get rough. This includes myself.
Ladies, it's time that we stand up and take back what we've lost! It's time to buckle down, stand up to the enemy, and get back on track! Please, take time to re-evaluate your relationship with the Lord, prioritize what's most important and, then, with the Lord's help, run the race that is set before you with all diligence...knowing that if God be for us...who can be against us? Victory is ours through the shed blood of Christ Jesus! Be not afraid, my precious sisters! It's never too late to start fresh and it's okay to start right where you're at!
Stop!
Thank you for this reminder today to slow down and seek the Lord first. We've become a "tired" culture, particularly this time of year. Nice Five Minute Friday post!
ReplyDeleteAMEN!!! Thank you for sharing. I needed to hear this this morning. God never leaves us if we seek his kingdom first. He will help us to get through the day. Sit in silence! We have to wait for him. Thank you thank you for linking up!
ReplyDeleteAmen!! I love the phrase get down and get real!
