By Rebecca, simply yours
~ What Time It Is...
... 2:35 p.m.
~ What I'm Doing...
... am taking a much needed break from my Saturday cleaning and am having half an English muffin with peanut butter and a cup of hot tea.
~ I Am Praising The LORD For...
... the truth that is found only in the Bible, and for the love, mercy, kindness, and protection that He affords us each day through the power of His might, the blood of His Son, Jesus Christ, and the gift of the Holy Spirit.
~ Something Beautiful...
... the lovely swallowtail butterfly that my husband spotted in the garden (that's it's photo above).
~ Something That Made Me Smile Today...
... my husband. He can be so funny sometimes!
~ What I've Done So Far Today...
... carpet-freshed the whole house (I make my own), cleaned the bedroom (made the bed, dusted, vacuumed, and shined the mirrors), organized the pantry area, vacuumed Tony's room, cleaned the bathroom (scrubbed the toilet, tub, and sink, shined the mirrors, emptied the trash), did three loads of laundry (including a bleach load of whites that included the shower curtain and liner from the bathroom, had a nice lunch with dh (salmon patties, baked potato, and a fresh garden salad), straightened the living-room (dusted, vacuumed, shined the mirror, vacuumed the furniture), took out the trash, and visited with a neighbor.
~ What I Have Left To Do...
... clean the kitchen, make supper, enjoy the rest of the afternoon and evening with my family.
~ What's For Supper...
... dh has proclaimed that he's fixing supper tonight...For anybody who knows him...wanna take a guess at what he'll be fixing? LOL!
Well, I don't know what he'll be cooking, but what a treat to have *anything* cooked for you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy day you're having - I hardly got anything done in the house today - well, apart from a batch of pancakes, which are devoured, and a couple of banana loaves - busy in the plot all day!
I would *love* to have a couple of days of deep cleaning in our house..... maybe once the vegs are all in the ground!
Dear Friend At HSotC,
ReplyDeleteI have to admit...I'm pretty blessed! My husband is half-Sicilian (on his mother's side) and, as anyone who knows him knows, the only thing he cooks (or eats most of the time) is pasta and sauce. No matter what I cook he eats pasta and sauce everyday...sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. (I'm not kidding!) We've known each other forever and he taught me to cook sauce when I was 11-years-old. He actually prefers my sauce now, but, occasionally, he declares that he's fixing for the whole family...and when he does...I let him! Since he's fixing supper and I don't have to, I decided to make a double batch of banana/oat-bran muffins for the week ahead. They just came out of the oven and they smell so good!
As far as housecleaning...we have church meetings in our home on Sunday mornings, so Saturdays are normally my big cleaning day. Although...some Saturdays I definitely clean better than on others! :)
Thanks for taking the time to commment and have a blessed weekend!
All My Love,
~Rebecca
